Our origins began in 1998 when we started sourcing pure and potent New Zealand Mānuka honey from remote and inaccessible locations. We knew then that Mānuka honey was special and it’s started us on a journey to find other remarkable products from nature; following nature’s way of making us feel good.

Our honey is collected from remote locations and packaged in the ‘golden triangle of Mānuka Honey in New Zealand

Genuine Mānuka honey is produced in Aotearoa, the Māori name for New Zealand. It’s similar to how sparkling wine can only be called ‘champagne’ if it comes from the Champagne region in France (a region well-known for producing the best sparkling wine). So you could say, New Zealand Mānuka is the Champagne of honey.

It is well known some of the highest quality Mānuka honey comes from what Beekeepers call ‘The Golden Triangle’ of New Zealand. The triangle spans from Taranaki on the West Coast, across to the wild East Cape and to the top of the North Island in Northland. To identify New Zealand Mānuka Honey, there is a special combination of naturally occurring compounds and a unique DNA marker which only shows if it’s from New Zealand Mānuka tree nectar.

New Zealand has strict guidelines in place to authenticate Mānuka honey which are set by the New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI). Only MPI approved laboratories can test and confirm the honey’s authenticity, so if your Mānuka Honey is ‘MPI Certified’, you know it’s genuine.

The quality mark and the associated certification is governed by The UMF Honey Association, an independent body representing members that are responsible for >80% of the genuine Mānuka exports from New Zealand.

Glyphosate Residue Free

Glyphosate is commonly used around the World. In 2015 WHO’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) that glyphosate is a ‘probable carcinogen’, but we have a second reason for not liking this chemical – it’s liked to the mass bee deaths around the world.

Glyphosate Residue Free certification verifies that our products do not contain the World’s most used herbicide.

You’ll find a QR code on your Manukora Mānuka Honey product, unique to each and every product we have ever produced. When scanned by your smartphone camera (no special app needed), this code provides complete authenticity and traceability of your Mānuka honey, it displays the real lab results from when it was certified and traces the honey right back to the beehive it came from.
